Frank Collins, Fairthorpe works team driver R.I.P

I apologise for the absence but my father Frank Collins was admitted to hospital on September 7th with breathing problems associated with his lung Fibrosis. He sadly passed away on 26th  and his funeral takes place tomorrow the 16th October.
This blog was started to catalogue the rebuild of the Fairthorpe that dad built in 1958 and as a tribute i am just posting a few pictures of him and the car he loved so much.

    Frank Collins owned and raced a Jowett Jupiter JSF 282 from 1954 to 1958. Photo exists of him and Jupiter at Silverstone, 8-Clubs 6 June 1958. Frank tried to teach his wife to be to drive in it but she refused to drive it.

    Thanks Ed, dad was very pleased to find out from you that his Jupiter was still around, was it in Holland? It is a pity he never got over to see the car again. I have several more pictures that have come to light of him with the car at Silverstone, send me your email address and i will scan them for you.........Martin
